About Us

Early in 2008, in an enchanted forest whose location remains a well-kept secret, Patrice Audet – Director of Millipede Illustration Studio, which he created in May 2003—paces back and forth with his hands behind his back, looking for an adequate solution to a newly found problem: ogres, fairies and witches, dragons and even the big bad wolf were getting bored in his office. And when they have nothing to do, bad things happen – the big bad wolf puts Patrice's computer science diploma through the paper shredder - the ogres shatter their video game console, stopping them from playing 3 games created for them by The Millipede – the dragons start looking for affection and constantly give hugs to Patrice's two assistants, Em Hunter and Anouk Lacasse, significantly slowing down their work - and the witches start coming up with new ways to change people into strange creatures - not to mention the fax machine that starts to ring out of a flower pot and the computer that purrs and sticks out its claws on the chair where the artists keep their cold milk.

Something has to be done!

Finally, an idea emerges! All these magical creatures could become characters in children's books…but rarely do they get a chance to meet the actual children. If only children would participate in these stories, that would change everything! Patrice, Em and Anouk put themselves to the task. Currently, there are 6 original stories that have been created and published (in French, English and soon in other languages, magical creatures naturally speak many languages). In every sense of the word, people are enchanted by these stories in which creatures meet real children and share with them their fantastic adventures that do not only brighten up their day, but also create real friendships.

Since that day, joy and serenity have returned to the enchanted forest.
